Site Manager
Noisily Festival of Music and Arts.
In 2015 I was invited to take on the role of Site Manager of Noisily Festival of music and arts, an event I had been working for since 2013.
Taking the reigns for a build and take down that at its peak involved almost 70 members of crew of various skills in a range of testing weather conditions the task was undertaken focusing on quality of work and safety.
By working alongside the festival directors, my crew and resources were effectively co-ordinated resulting in both build and de-rig running to schedule and delivering the high level of production required.
The event hosted 3200 guests over a period of three days and was considered by all a resounding success. It is with great pleasure I agreed to undertake the role again in 2016 and 2017, and now work year round on the pre-production of the site and the festival as it grows from strength to strength into 2018 and beyond.
Key responsibilities include:
-
Organising and booking all site infrastructure& plant.
-
Bringing together and directing a multidisciplinary crew.
-
Liaising with all departments to insure all practical needs met.
-
Overseeing and implementing site safety to CDM regulations
-
Aiding in and directing larger structural build projects.
-
Attending site visits and preparing & maintaining the site year round.
-
Overseeing the pack down and storage of owned materials, equipment and installations.
-
Assisting in direction of the event in matters of sustainability and ethos in gender, race and environment in the events industry workplace.
